Reasons to include this information...

This is a video search engine that can
find results for YouTube, etc, so I've
used the URL for my name to find
about 190 different video playbacks,
mostly because the poemhunter website
created music and image features for
these poems then uploaded these to
the dailymotion.com website as part of
their sharing with partners' services...

Click each of the video website names
to switch to whatever results they have,
even a few on the YouTube website...
There will be lots of others, if searching
for artist Stephen Gayford instead...
eg bid tv, price-drop tv, speedauction.tv.

The poemhunter-dot-com website has its
own ways to add a music piece to a chosen
poet's poem and then add to the website's
username collection on video websites.
These videos include the poetry text and
a nice background image display, too.
The Google search finds these and offers
these to anyone interested in these videos.
Whether they actually match the text is
another matter. It sometimes seems pot luck.

NB for more results use Google UK and
use the Tools tab for select UK results,
otherwise, the results may be too many or
too few, since many results are gained from
eBay, Amazon and UK auction websites.

LAZY AFTERNOON

Two little lions closed their eyes,
So tired in the sun...
No longer now the cool wise guys,
So spritely, full of fun.
Plum-tuckered out, as is the way,
As afternoons take hold...
Then little lion heads will sway
As their neck muscles fold...

Their parents grin from ear-to-ear
To watch them fall asleep...
As sunbeams gently, softly steer
Them to their dreams so deep...
At first, they gamely stay awake,
Refusing to submit...
Then suddenly, all strength to take,
The battle's lost, that's it!

Then little lion heads must fall,
For forty winks again...
As if obedient to that call
That even masters men...
I know they tried to do their best,
But now they're sleeping sound.
Their floppy heads with closed eyes rest,
To doze on dusty ground...

The poem is based on the magnificent painting
by Stephen Gayford called 'Lazy Afternoon'.

Thanks for the story of the lion called Christian
and his mate and their cubs...
